NPWA receives $3.3 million OWRB loan

The Newcastle Public Works Authority (NPWA) received approval for a $3,300,000 loan recently from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority’s infrastructure. Construction of upgrades and improvements to the system will be financed by the Oklahoma Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).

Bikes to aid in EMS response

Newcastle Rotary Club International recently presented bicycles to the McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services. They will be able to use these during special events, such as sporting activities or the 4th of July celebration, where they aren’t able to get an ambulance through the crowd quickly. The money was raised through our two trivia nights held at Libby’s along with the donations from various sponsors. Pictured making the presentation are members of the Newcastle Rotary along with EMS officials.
