An invitation to an informational meeting has been extended by McClain County Assessor Kendal Sacchieri to residents of Newcastle and Blanchard.
The Newcastle meeting is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 8 at the Newcastle Storm Shelter, 851 N. Carr. The Blanchard meeting is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 6 at the Blanchard Public Library Community Room.
Sacchieri’s office will discuss filing for property tax exemptions if you have not done so in previous years.
This will include homestead exemption, senior valuation freeze for those over the age of 65, and 100% disabled veteran.
They’ll also discuss the filing of the annual business, mobile home, and agriculture renditions, and application and renewal of agricultural exemption for farms.
There will also be a time allotted for questions about ad valorem and school millage rates.
The county assessor’s office is at 121 N. 2nd Avenue, Room 206 in Purcell.
