Newcastle High School just announced the cast of their first-ever school musical production, “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.”

Newcastle’s new animal shelter will have its grand opening at 4:30 p.m. Monday in a celebration with a ribbon cutting by the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce. The public is invited to the new facility at 721 N. Walker Drive.

The Commission on the Status of Women is partnering with Mid-America Technology Center to host a Community Conversation to Stop Human Trafficking. The event is scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2024. Two sessions will be held. One is at 10 a.m. and the second is at 1 p.m. in the Seminar Center in the Health Building, 27438 Highway 59, Wayne. The event is free and open to the public.

The following persons have been charged by the State of Oklahoma with traffic or other violations or have filed other court actions in McClain County District Court between February 22-28, 2024.
