Rescheduled Tri-City Cruisers Car Show is Saturday

Storms forecasted for early this month forced the Tri-City Cruisers car club to move their show in Newcastle to Saturday, June 22.

Storms forecasted for early this month forced the Tri-City Cruisers car club to move their show in Newcastle to Saturday, June 22.

Club spokesperson Bobby Hagan said the show participants, earlier, did not want to bring their classic autos out in case of severe weather.

The show time and place for Saturday remains the same. Registration is from 8-11 a.m. and judging is from 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 22 on the south side of State Highway 37 and Tri-City Drive, behind Braum’s Ice Cream & Dairy Store.

The public is encouraged to attend and take part in voting for crowd favorite. Tri-City Cruisers President David Gayanich says all the proceeds made from the car show will be used to support community needs.

Top Ten trophies, which are handcrafted, will be awarded. Sponsors and club members will be handing out trophies, and there are door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, kids’ activities, an NSRA safety inspector, and a disc jockey playing music.

The Tri-City Cruisers is an active club in the Blanchard, Newcastle, and Tuttle, Oklahoma areas. Members enjoy a common interest in muscle cars, original and modified cars and trucks of all makes and years. Club activities include meetings, a car show, cruise-ins and dinner drives.

The Tri-City Cruisers is a two-time nominee for the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month.
