The Pioneer Library System has signed on to the Urban Libraries Council’s Declaration of Democracy, committing to build policies and actions that preserve and protect democracy in our communities.

The following persons have been charged by the State of Oklahoma with traffic or other violations or have filed other court actions in McClain County District Court between December 7-13, 2023.

Advertising, news submissions must be at office by Dec. 21

The November state tax collections reflecting October sales for Medical Marijuana in Newcastle showed a total return of $30,868.49.

The Newcastle Early Childhood Center, elementary school and high school received Certified Safe and Healthy Schools of Oklahoma program awards. Accepting on behalf of their schools are Newcastle Elementary School Principal Ryan McLaughlin, Newcastle Early Childhood Center Principal Jill Rosenbloom, and Newcastle High School Principal Adam Hull.
