In a pivotal moment, 34 prospective practical nursing (PN) students gathered at Mid-America Technology Center to embark on their journey into the healthcare field. This orientation session marked the beginning of the Class of 2025’s pursuit of nursing education and symbolized their first step toward fulfilling their passion for serving others through healthcare.

The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and determination as the aspiring nurses gathered to familiarize themselves with the PN programs, requirements, curriculum, and expectations. Laryssa Couch, PN Director, led the orientation and provided valuable insights into the rigorous yet rewarding path ahead.

For many, this orientation was more than just a procedural formality; it was a moment of affirmation and commitment to their career goals. Each attendee brought their unique background, experiences, and motivations. Yet they shared a common aspiration: to make a difference in the lives of patients and communities through compassionate care and professionalism.

As they delved into the details of the PN program, students gained a deeper understanding of the academic rigor, clinical experiences, and professional standards that would shape their nursing education. From fundamental principles of nursing practice to hands-on skill development, the orientation set the stage for the comprehensive training they would receive in the coming months.

However, the orientation was just the beginning. Following this initial step, the students would proceed to round two of the application process, where they would demonstrate their readiness and commitment to pursuing a career in practical nursing.

As they left the orientation session, the 34 prospective PN students carried with them a sense of purpose and excitement for the path that lay ahead. Their journey into the world of practical nursing had officially begun, and they were ready to embrace the challenges, growth opportunities, and rewards that awaited them. With passion in their hearts and dedication in their minds, they were poised to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare profession and beyond.
