A big, blank sign will be at the Newcastle Red White & Blue Fest 2024. The intent of Newcastle Parks & Recreation is to create themselves a sign which can be placed on the old fire station #1 to show that it now is the home for Parks & Recreation.
Parks & Recreation Director Kyle Marks said they’ll have various colors of paint near the sign so Red White & Blue Fest attendees can place their hand in the paint and then place it on the sign. When complete, Parks & Recreation will put their logo on it, have the sign laminated, and then place it on the building on their new office. Marks said, “It will become the big sign designating the facility as Parks & Recreation.”
