Luke Francis Day, 33, of Blanchard, Oklahoma (formerly of Mahomet-Seymour, IL), met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 25, 2022. Day was the Chief City Engineer for Newcastle.

First Baptist Church, in preparing for construction of their new auditorium, was approved by the City Council for a couple of deviations from façade requirements.
