Republic Waste says no more picking up trash bags located outside of poly-carts

Beginning February 1, Republic Waste will no longer pick up trash bags placed outside a poly-cart in Newcastle. Residents have the option of requesting a second poly-cart for an extra fee, according to the City.

#5 Racers defeat Anadarko, Chickasha

Newcastle’s Racers continued their hot streak with two more wins last week and a number five-ranking in Class 4A. One of the wins came in a game against number eightranked Anadarko, who is tied with Tuttle for the position.

Racer girls beat Fightin’ Chicks, lose to Anadarko

The first quarter didn’t foreshadow the end result, but the Newcastle Racer girls basketball team eventually beat Chickasha, 46-42, last week.
