Norman Heart and Vascular Associates announces the newest addition to its team, Robin Singh, MD, a cardiac electrophysiologist. Dr. Singh brings his training and commitment to advancing heart health to Norman Regional.
Dr. Singh attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine followed by his residency in internal medicine at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine.
Dr. Singh is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, adult comprehensive echocardiography and internal medicine. He most recently completed a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Cardiac electrophysiology is a branch of cardiology that focuses on the heart’s electrical system controlling rhythm.
Dr. Singh brings unique skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive care for patients at every stage of their heart health journey, said a Norman Regional spokesperson.
Dr. Singh’s training includes specialty expertise in various cardiac surgical procedures, including: Atrial fibrillation ablation, Atrial flutter ablation, AV Node ablation, Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) device, Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) ablation, Transvenous and Leadless Pacemaker, Transvenous and Subcutaneous Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD), and Ventricular Tachycardia and Premature Ventricular Contraction (PVC) ablation.
Dr. Singh shares that his inspiration to become a physician stems from his family.
“Both my parents were an inspirational influence to enter the field of medicine,” he said. “My father, cardiology; my mother, internal medicine.”
