Newcastle Schools’ Career Expo is success in 1st year; college fair is next

Rep. Sherrie Conley, RNewcastle, has filed a bill that would require school personnel engaging in electronic or digital communication with a student to include the student’s parent or guardians.

Voters in McClain County are reminded to keep the integrity of the election system in mind, when going to the polls next week.

Several Newcastle Chamber of Commerce activities are coming up for area residents. This includes a Morning Mingle tomorrow (Friday).

Early voting begins Thursday, February 8, 2024 for voters in McClain County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at the McClain County Community Center. McClain County Election Board Secretary Karen Haley said early voting is open to all voters.

Area families should plan ahead for this year’s City of Newcastle Parks & Recreation Easter Egg Hunt, at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at Veterans Park. Area business owners and individuals have a sponsorship opportunity for that day.
