Voters in McClain County are reminded to keep the integrity of the election system in mind, when going to the polls next week.

Networking with area chambers

Early voting begins today (February 29) for voters in McClain County (see page 2 for sample ballots). Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their McClain County Community Center.

The following persons have been charged by the State of Oklahoma with traffic or other violations or have filed other court actions in McClain County District Court between February 15-21, 2024.

An invitation to an informational meeting has been extended by McClain County Assessor Kendal Sacchieri to residents of Newcastle and Blanchard.

Newcastle Public Schools plans to celebrate its site Teachers of the Year at the March 12 Board of Education meeting. At the same meeting, they’ll announce this year’s NPS District Teacher of the Year.

Saturday at 5 p.m. is the Newcastle Junior Livestock Association Bonus Auction to benefit area youth. The public and area business owners are invited to the Newcastle Fair Barn on Main Street to help support the youth in both a live auction and a silent auction.

The University of Oklahoma announced today the students named to its fall 2023 honor roll, a distinction given to those who achieve the highest academic standards. Several Newcastle students were among those listed. A total of 9,859 students were named to the fall 2023 honor roll. Of these students, 4,290 were named to the President’s Honor Roll for earning an “A” grade in all their courses.
