300 attend to see inside of $10 million facility

The idea of sharing a new county jail with Garvin County has apparently been scuttled by McClain County officials.

The University of Central Oklahoma will celebrate the achievements of approximately 1,464 graduates during the Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremonies May 10-11, in Central’s Hamilton Field House. Three of those are from Newcastle.

Norman Regional Health System is just 100 days away from the opening of the expansion at the HealthPlex. The expansion includes a new 96-bed critical care tower, Ambulatory Care Center (ACC), a larger emergency department with additional rooms, and concourse-style entry with a new Daily Grind, Gift Shop, chapel, parking garage, and more. The team has been busy preparing to welcome healers and combining the Health-Plex and Porter campuses into one, said Richie Splitt, president and CEO of Norman Regional Health System.

The following persons have been charged by the State of Oklahoma with traffic or other violations or have filed other court actions in McClain County District Court between April 25-May 1, 2024.

The following are results from the various categories available at the 2024 McClain County Fair held earlier this year. These results were just recently released to the Newcastle Pacer.

Payton Fremin of Newcastle was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Fremin was initiated at Oklahoma City University.

State qualifiers in solo, ensembles
