In the “‘Frack Monster’ said to be noisy neighbor” story from the April 20 issue of the Newcastle Pacer, we spelled a name wrong. We said Dr. Sherry Marchum, but should have said the correct spelling of Cheri Marcham.

Gift baskets from Guernsey included linen towels for dog beds, tube socks to fill with water bottles as enrichment toys, Pill Pocket capsules to give animals medications if needed, dog toys, leashes, food, treats, bowls, and doggie bandanas to wear on their way to new homes. Pictured, from left, are: Tyler Brasseaux, Newcastle Animal Control officer; David Oman, Guernsey director of Design Group; Newcastle Police Officer Virginia Bailey; Newcastle Police Sgt. David Bristol; Newcastle Police Chief Gary Norman; Keith Holman, Guernsey architect; and Kolton Bilyeu, Newcastle Animal Control officer. Guernsey designed the new 4,300 square-foot Newcastle Animal Shelter which features indoor sheltering areas for dogs and cats, improved intake facilities, and a more modern design.

Racers’ baseball season over at Regionals

Racer baseball finished their 2023 season with a 28-10 record overall and as Bi-District Champions, before losing two games to Lone Grove at Regionals. The Racers were second in District 4A-1 with a District record of 12-4, just behind Tuttle, 14-0.
