McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services made 228 total calls for the month of September. They had 142 billed calls and 86 non-transport calls at an average response time of 7.04 minutes.

In a McClain County Board of Commissioners meeting on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the McClain County Courthouse, the commissioners addressed various matters impacting the county. Chairman Terry Daniel presided over the meeting, which commenced at 8:15 a.m.

Mid-America Technology Center is well represented in the SkillsUSA Southwest District this year. The five MATC students selected as officers are Isaiah Butler, Myles Hall, Gabriel Herring, Dale Hodge, and McKenna Largent. Butler, Herring, and Hodge are Cyber Security students, and Hall and Largent are students in the Horticulture Technician program.
