Newcastle had $8,662.00 in local sales taxes returned to city coffers in August from the sale of Medical Marijuana. Purcell had $7,222.59 in sales taxes returned and Blanchard had $4,099.64.
Adding to those amounts the state sales taxes on Medical Marijuana and a portion held for the State of Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, and McClain County had a total of $72,065.74 collected on August sales.
