Open government and access
Every year in mid-March, we recognize a week to celebrate the importance of open government and access to public information. Sunshine Week, which this year runs from March 10 to 16, promotes open meetings and open records — topics that have long been near and dear to me.

The American Legion – Part 23
Last week we learned that in June 2017, the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017 was passed by Congress in conjunction with the American Legion. Combatting the Biden Administration’s inflation crisis
Throughout the past three years in office, President Biden has embarked on spending spree after spending spree. First, just two months after inauguration, he signed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, initiating a spike in prices on consumers just days after the bill was signed into law. I appreciate everyone who visited my office to share their perspective on proposed legislation. As we continue to work through legislation this session, I encourage you to take an active role in the process, especially as we consider matters that will have a statewide impact.

Border crisis is why I voted to impeach Mayorkas
In January of 2021, President Biden assumed the presidency with an aggressive immigration agenda. In just his first 100 days in office, he took 94 executive actions, including removing Title 42 and Remain in Mexico, halting border wall construction, and reinstating Catch-and-Release, in an attempt to make it easier for immigrants to illegally enter and stay in our nation.
