Class 6A number-eight ranked Piedmont beat Newcastle January 26 in a dual, 4930, but the Racers came back and placed second at the Midwestern Conference Tournament at Shawnee FireLake over the weekend.
The following persons have been charged by the State of Oklahoma with traffic or other violations or have filed other court actions in Mc-Clain County District Court between January 19-25, 2023.
A quick start pushed the momentum for the Racer girls Friday night in their winning effort against Cache, 44-40.
Newcastle’s Racer girls took losses to Tuttle, 67-36, on Tuesday in regular season play and then to Lawton MacArthur, 55-35, on Thursday, to start the Otho Sweetpea Curtis Tournament.
After the 39-30 dual win against Kingfisher January 12, the Racers also beat Douglass, 57-12, but then lost the dual with Tuttle, 74-3.

Newcastle’s Racers continued their hot streak with two more wins last week and a number five-ranking in Class 4A. One of the wins came in a game against number eightranked Anadarko, who is tied with Tuttle for the position.
The first quarter didn’t foreshadow the end result, but the Newcastle Racer girls basketball team eventually beat Chickasha, 46-42, last week.
