Associate Professor Dr. Eric Bruning of Texas Tech University, was in Newcastle Thursday to place a device which measures lightning in an area. Bruner is in the Department of Geosciences Atmospheric Science Group at the Lubbock, Texas university. City putting $40 million financing in place for wastewater treatment plant

Albert Wilson was born on January 9, 1929 to parents James Calvin and Essie Belle Wilson in Oney, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully in the home he built in Newcastle surrounded by his family on June 12, 2023, at the age of 94.

Ralph Dwain Callaway, Jr., 60, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in Blanchard. The son of Ralph Dwain Callaway, Sr. and Noah Mae (Cisco) Callaway, he was born August 24, 1962, in La Mesa, California.
