Ayden Dobbels, a first-year Mid-AmericaTechnologyCenter student in the diesel program from Blanchard, competed in the Oklahoma Super Tech Skills Competition put on by the Oklahoma Trucking Association at Francis Tuttle Tech Center’s Reno Campus on May 10.

Primary elections for federal, state, and county candidates are scheduled for June 18 across the state. On Election Day, the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Redlands Community College recently celebrated the graduation of more than 250 students during its Spring commencement ceremony. Of those, one is from this area.

Business conducted during the April Newcastle Board of Education meeting included Jeff Dingee taking his oath of office to serve a new term on the board, and a reorganization of the board which continued the service of Tiffany Elcyzyn as the Board President and Legislative Liaison.

Lunch is served for a $5 donation at the Newcastle Senior Citizen’s Center each weekday. Meals consist of a drink, soup, salad bar, main meal and dessert.
