Student expected to make full recovery
A student was struck by a vehicle in the high school parking lot before school on Monday. Superintendent Dr. Cathy Walker said the student was released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Dr. Walker said the student was struck by a vehicle driven by another student. Other students acted by calling 911, resulting in emergency personnel arriving on scene quickly. The superintendent was very thankful for the students’ actions.
“It takes all of us working together in times like this to keep each other safe,” she stated.
Walker said both of the students’ parents were immediately contacted by school officials following the accident.
She asks that everyone keep the students involved, as well as the witnesses, in their thoughts and prayers.
