The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) increasingly aggressive and competitive behavior toward our nation is of great concern. It certainly took another bold step earlier this month as a spy aircraft was sent across our country. Unfortunately, during this national security challenge, the Biden Administration once again failed to meet the task in the face of this overt aggression.

My favorite verse in the entire Bible is 2 Corinthians 4:18 which says, “So we fix our eyes, not on what we can see, but on what we cannot see. For what is seen is temporary and what is unseen is eternal.” Living this way is extremely hard. It is difficult to focus on eternal things in a world fixated on the here and now. The only way to live for the eternal is to live each day by faith.

President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress recently amid our nation’s mounting and worsening crises. Unfortunately, instead of addressing runaway inflation, the overrun southern border and the increasingly aggressive and emboldened Communist China, he used his speech to deflect from these issues that matter most to Americans.

As the third week gets underway, more than 300 bills have been considered and several passed off the floor. This week, the Senate will be considering many of my bills to address concerns about the medical marijuana industry.

How can anyone complain about a person who takes action to get the best value for their family as they are being forced to sell their home and property?

Last month, House Republicans passed a crucial bill that holds the Biden Administration accountable for its assault on North American energy production. Since assuming office, President Joe Biden has taken actions that have dangerously and significantly reduced our nation’s energy independence and caused energy prices to reach unprecedented prices.

I always tell my kids, “You’ll never change anything you are willing to tolerate.”

Years ago I did a study of the 12 disciples. It is staggering to think that out of all the people on the planet at that time, Jesus only chose twelve to be His disciples. But, what do we really know about those twelve?

In January, the United States hit its debt ceiling, which is currently at $31.4 trillion. After raising the debt limit by $2.5 trillion just two years ago in 2021, this sobering news should serve as a wakeup call that we must reduce our nation’s spending and implement meaningful fiscal reforms to address America’s debt crisis before it is too late. This fiscal trajectory is simply unsustainable.
