Fall semester honor rolls at Northwestern Oklahoma State University have been announced by the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Among students listed was Austyn Pine.

First Baptist Church, in preparing for construction of their new auditorium, was approved by the City Council for a couple of deviations from façade requirements. Bankers, builders turn ground for new FNB in Goldsby

School was back underway January 2 after the holiday break in Newcastle, but students and staff will be out again January 16 to celebrate a day of service, and to remember a man who left a storied legacy.

An engineering approval process which started before the COVID-19 pandemic has concluded with plans on a new wastewater treatment plant being submitted to the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. Kenny Sullivan, the City’s engineer of Glenn Sullivan and Associates, appeared before the City Council in the December meeting to discuss the project, which Council members approved to send for DEQ comment. The process is hoped to conclude with a permit to construct the plant.
