Newcastle-area residents and other readers of the Newcastle Pacer will pay a little more for their local newspaper in the new year.

McClain County GOP continues its “Meet Your County Officials” at 7 p.m. January 23 at the Newcastle Storm Shelter, 851 N. Carr Drive.

Beginning February 1, Republic Waste will no longer pick up trash bags placed outside a poly-cart in Newcastle. Residents have the option of requesting a second poly-cart for an extra fee, according to the City.

Girls’ event planned by NHS coaches to spur involvement
