After the 39-30 dual win against Kingfisher January 12, the Racers also beat Douglass, 57-12, but then lost the dual with Tuttle, 74-3.
Newcastle also wrestled at the Carl Albert Tournament January 13-14 with several wins by Max Rinehart who had a sixth-place finish, Blake Johnson with his secondplace finish, and Randy Nix, who placed third.
Nix, at 215, also had the 4-2 decision over Cody Abston, for the lone Racer win against Tuttle.

The Racers had much better results against Douglass. Newcastle at Carl Albert Tournament 150- Max Rinehart had wins over Jonas Traywicks of Santa Fe South, Conner Nunez of Altus, and Ephraim Morris of Lawton MacArthur. He then had two losses to Grant Gover of Carl Albert, and Hunter Davidson of El Reno.
165- Shane Lovejoy had a win over Jackson Harris of Shawnee.
175- Blake Johnson had wins over Alan Arellanes of Santa Fe South and Darian Dennis of Midwest City, before losing a match to Parker Henry of Lawton MacArthur. Johnson came back for a win over Spencer Davidson of El Reno.
175- Reuben Rendon-Zamora had a win over Silas Towry of Claremore, but lost matches to Michael Greer of Altus, and Miles Walz II of Elgin.
190- Marcello Cipolletta had a win over Matthew Loudenslager of Choctaw.
215- Randy Nix had wins over Kayden Archer of Durant, Yohan Molina of McAlester, Noah Hayden of Midwest City, Eli Moroney of Guthrie, and Ryan Sigler of El Reno, before taking a loss to Alex Sutterfield of Carl Albert.
