Luke Francis Day, 33, of Blanchard, Oklahoma (formerly of Mahomet-Seymour, IL), met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 25, 2022. Day was the Chief City Engineer for Newcastle.

Fall semester honor rolls at Northwestern Oklahoma State University have been announced by the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Among students listed was Austyn Pine.

First Baptist Church, in preparing for construction of their new auditorium, was approved by the City Council for a couple of deviations from façade requirements.
