A collision on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike about two miles west of Newcastle at 9:02 p.m. on June 15 left an Oklahoma City woman injured.

Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean’s list. Natalie Calcote from Newcastle made the list. Calcote was among more than 4,700 students named to the spring 2023 dean’s list.

Bruner is in the Department of Geosciences Atmospheric Science Group at the Lubbock, Texas university.
