In court actions at Mc-Clain County District Court between July 20-26, 2023, two felony charges were filed against Joseph Minjares, 33, of Newcastle, for counts one and two of lewd acts with a child under 16.
In a July 28 filing for the initial appearance, Minjares, who filed a not guilty plea, was granted and posted a $50,000 bond but under the condition that he have no contact with the victim or minor children.
Minjares is scheduled to reappear in McClain County Court for a preliminary hearing conference on November 29. Court records show that preliminary hearing conference was completed on September 27.
