Students in our health and related classes can now tap, swipe, and drag their fingertips across the surface on a touch-screen table or tablet for realistic anatomy instruction.
This device, which comes from the company Anatomage, provides fully interactive individual structures and systems that are reconstructed in accurate 3D rendering, featuring life-size digital replicas of humans and animals. Students can view the whole system in its realistic complexity, or students can rotate, crosssection, and animate to learn how the various body systems work.
“The Anatomage Convertible Table will allow students to experience learning in an immersive virtual environment that simulates real-life scenarios and provides students with a greater understanding of concepts learned,” says Karen Hemmerling, MATC Director of Instruction. “We are very fortunate to offer this type of training to our students as it allows them to explore situations and problem- solve to determine best practices and solutions.”
This new piece of innovative technology provides a realistic life-sized 3D anatomy system as if the students were working with an actual cadaver.
