In a regular session held on Monday, September 11, at the McClain County Courthouse, the Board of McClain County Commissioners addressed a series of fiscal matters and equipment disposal.
Chairman Terry Daniel called the meeting to order and led the flag salute, and County Clerk Pam Beller recorded that Chairman Terry Daniel, Vice Chairman Glen Murray, and Member Wilson Lyles were present.
Key highlights from the meeting include: Minutes and Claims Approved: Wilson Lyles initiated the proceedings by moving to approve the minutes of the previous meeting held on September 5, 2023. Glen Murray seconded the motion, and the minutes were unanimously approved. Subsequently, the commissioners approved maintenance and operation claims for fiscal years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024, covering various departments and expenses.
Transfer of Appropriations: Wilson Lyles proposed a Transfer of Appropriations in the Highway fund, allocating $25,000 from one account to another, which was approved by the commissioners.
Monthly Reports Approved: The commissioners gave their approval to the monthly reports for August 2023 from several county departments, including the Assessor, Sheriff, Treasurer, County Clerk, Health Department, Election Board, and Court Clerk.
Allocation of Alcoholic Beverage Tax: An allocation of Alcoholic Beverage Tax was also approved during the meeting.
Equipment Disposal: A resolution for disposing of equipment from the Assessor’s office, specifically a 4-drawer beige metal filing cabinet, was passed.
SEFA and HVAC Agreements: The commissioners approved the Schedule of Federal Awards (SEFA) for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, as well as the corrected SEFA and SEFA for the 20222023 fiscal year. Additionally, they sanctioned annual HVAC Maintenance Agreements between Trinity Climate Control and McClain County for various county facilities.
Road Mileage Adjustment: The meeting concluded with Glen Murray moving to remove N3335 County Road north of 130th north of Byars, from ODOT credited county road mileage in District One.
