Newcastle Chamber of Commerce prepares for its annual State of the Schools luncheon.
It will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 26 at the Newcastle Library Community Room, 705 N.W. 10th Street, with Dr. Cathy Walker, Newcastle Public Schools’ superintendent.
Dr. Walker said her focus as the speaker will be introducing herself, sharing some demographic data compiled by the school district, providing an update on what has been completed with the bond projects, noting the timeline for future projects, and sharing school achievements to date.

The Newcastle Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament tees off with registration at 8 a.m., September 25 at Hidden Trails Country Club, 6501 S. Country Club Drive in Oklahoma City. This tournament, being presented by sponsor Pioneer, will have contests, lunch and door prizes.
A ttendees can participate in a 50/50 raffle with tickets going for $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20.
