Newcastle FOP Lodge 135 to hold Skeet Shoot

The Newcastle Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 135 is preparing its first ever Skeet Shoot event on Saturday, September 16 at the Silverleaf Shooting Shotgun Sports, 8513 S. Douglas Boulevard in Guthrie.

Newcastle Police Lt. Shelly Spratt said, “The Skeet Shoot promises to be an awesome day of camaraderie, friendly competition, and support for the local community. Participants from all walks of life, including law enforcement officers, shooting enthusiasts, and community members, are invited to join in the fun and show off their skills at this exciting event.”

Spratt said the shoot will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. and closing at 9:30 a.m. A safety meeting will be at 9:45 a.m.

“Participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot in the competition,” Spratt said.

She added that the Newcastle Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 135 is deeply committed to serving the local community and promoting positive relations between law enforcement officers and the public.

Proceeds from the Skeet Shoot will go towards funding various community outreach programs, supporting local charities, and enhancing educational initiatives that benefit Newcastle and its residents.

Lunch will be provided for all participants and there will be a raffle and prizes.
