Newcastle’s Racer Volleyball team won second place at the Noble Tournament behind Class 6A Yukon.
Kacie Townsend made the All-Tournament Team.
The Racers beat Class 3A number six, Amber Pocasset in a 2-0 match, and then beat Class 5A Elgin, 2-0, and Class 5A MacArthur, 2-1.
Newcastle had two losses, both to the Yukon Lady Millers. The Racers now have a 7-9 season record.
