Several September activities are planned by the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce including the State of the Schools luncheon with Superintendent Dr. Cathy Walker.
The State of the Schools will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 26 at the Newcastle Library Community Room, 705 N.W. 10th Street.
Dr. Walker said her focus as the speaker will be introducing herself, sharing some demographic data compiled by the school district, providing an update on what has been completed with the bond projects, noting the timeline for future projects, and sharing school achievements to date.

A Morning Mingle is scheduled for 9 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, September 8) at Rapid Fire Services, 900 N.W. 32nd Street in Newcastle. All are invited to attend.
From noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, the chamber will join with chambers of commerce in Tuttle and Blanchard for a Multi-Chamber Business Bites at Smoking’ Joe’s Rib Ranch, 151 E. Main Street in Tuttle. Attendees will have lunch on their own.
The Newcastle Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament tees off with registration at 8 a.m., September 25 at Hidden Trails Country Club, 6501 S. Country Club Drive in Oklahoma City. This tournament, being presented by sponsor Pioneer, will have contests, lunch and door prizes.
A variety of sponsorships have been sought by the chamber including prizes, lunch, breakfast, towel, hole-inone, water, drink cart, putting contest, photo booth, mulligans and more.
Attendees can also participate in a 50/50 raffle with tickets going for $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20.
