Two individuals were arrested in Newcastle on Wednesday, August 16 by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs in relation to black market activities.

Mark Woodward, OBN spokesperson, said the agency served a search warrant at 182 N.E. 31st Street in Newcastle and shut down the operation for illegal activity. Doing business at the location was Max Green LLC.

Taken into custody and booked into Cleveland County Jail were Uyu Chen, a female, and Rui Ye, a male, for charges of aggravated cultivation and drug trafficking.

The OBN seized and disposed of 4,345 plants and 188 pounds of processed marijuana, according to Woodward, who added that this is an ongoing investigation.
