Upcoming Newcastle Chamber of Commerce activities to conclude July and move business into August were recently announced.
A ribbon cutting will be at noon today (July 27) at HMS Plumbing, Heat & Air, 13 OK Hwy 76 in Newcastle. A light lunch will be served.
In August, a Morning Mingle is scheduled for 9 a.m. August 11 at Frontline Family Solutions, 902 N.W. 32nd in Newcastle. The public is invited to attend.
The Chamber’s annual Meet the Community will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., August 12 at Newcastle Christian Church, 2200 N. Main Street. This is a free event for chamber members who want to have a booth and promote their business. Non-members can have a booth for a $100 fee. If interested, email Gayla at chamber@newcastleok. org. The public is invited to attend and get acquainted with area businesses and organizations.
State Senator Jessica Garvin will be in Newcastle from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 22 for the Chamber’s annual State of the State meeting. It will be at the community room at Newcastle Library and is sponsored by First United Bank, State Highway 9. You can RSVP for this event by emailing chamber@ newcastleok.org.
On September 25, the Chamber will hold it’s annual golf tournament starting with registration at 8 a.m. at Hidden Trails Country Club, 6501 S. Country Club Drive in Oklahoma City.
The tournament begins at 9 a.m. and there will be contests, lunch and door prizes. You can register at newcastleok. org, or if you need more information, call 405-3873232.
Although Pioneer is the presenting sponsor, there are other sponsorship opportunities available for this event, as well. These include Platinum, Silver and Bronze sponsorships, a tent sponsorship for $250, and a hole sponsorship at $125.
Selective sponsorships include prizes, lunch, breakfast, fleet, towel, player, holein- one, water, “It’s in the bag,” drink cart, putting contest, volunteer, and photo booth.
Mulligans will be available for $5 each or five for $20.
There will be a 50/50 raffle at this event at $5 per ticket, or five tickets for $20. Donations are being accepted by the Chamber for door prizes and goody bags.
