The Board of McClain County Commissioners held a regular session meeting on June 26, 2023, at the McClain County Courthouse. All three commissioners were present: Chairman Wilson Lyles, Vice Chairman Terry Daniel, and Member Glen Murray.
The minutes, as well as salary, travel, and maintenance & operation claims were approved. The approval was moved by Terry Daniel and seconded by Glen Murray, and the vote was unanimous.
Various claims for fiscal year 2022-2023 were approved across different departments, including Emergency Management, General, Health, Highway, ML Fee, Mtg Cert, Preservation, Rental of County Property, Rural Fire-ST, Sheriff Commissary, Sheriff Service Fee, SR Cit-ST, and others.
No blanket purchase orders or transfers were requested.
The Cash Fund Estimate of Needs and Requests for Appropriations for multiple departments and funds were approved. The approval was moved by Terry Daniel and seconded by Glen Murray, and the vote was unanimous.
Lapses from 2022-2023 Appropriations and transfers into 2023-2024 Appropriations were approved for various departments and funds.
Road Crossing Permits were approved for Enable Gas Gathering LLC in District Two.
Resolutions for disposing of equipment were approved for Cole Fire Department and Blanchard Senior Citizens, among others. This included old boots, pants and coats acquired by the Cole Fire Department in 2008. It also included furniture, a dishwasher, and a couple of freezers, as well as other items from the senior citizens’ facility.
Requisitioning and receiving officers on file at McClain County were approved for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
ARPA Expenditure Documents for Floyd & Driver, PLLC for administrative expenses were approved for May 2023 and June 2023.
An Engagement Letter was approved for Wilson, Dotson & Associates to prepare the financial statements for the 2022-2023 fiscal year and the 2023-2024 Estimate of Needs for McClain County.
Agreements between CommunityWorks and McClain County BOCC were approved for the Detention Services Agreement with Cleveland County and Pottawatomie County for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
A Contract was approved between Eastern Oklahoma Youth Services and McClain County for Juvenile Detention Services at Pittsburg County Regional Juvenile Detention Center for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
A Jail Services Agreement was approved between Mc-Clain County and the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center Trust.
