While some of the bond issue projects are already underway, the official groundbreaking celebration has now been planned by Newcastle Public Schools.
The celebration takes place at 9:30 a.m. today (Thursday) just north and to the west on the high school campus. The public is invited to attend the kickoff for the 2022 bond issue projects.
School board member Jeff Dingee said he was excited about getting to break ground. Dr. Melonie Hau said this is the official start of the bond issue projects, and there will be “gold shovels and all.”
At the same time, the school will have site design plans for both Newcastle High School and Newcastle Middle School.
