Everyone’s a winner at the local casino on May 20, as Newcastle Casino joins forces to support the Oklahoma Blood Institute’s lifesaving mission.
A blood drive will be that day from noon to 5 p.m. at the Casino.
As part of the promotion, each blood donor will receive a free voucher for $10 casino play, donated by the casino partner. Each donor will also receive a happy themed Tshirt and their choice of ticket and choice of one free entry to Frontier City, Science Museum Oklahoma, or Hurricane Harbor.
“Oklahoma casinos are dedicated community partners,” said John Armitage, M.D., Oklahoma Blood Institute president and CEO. “Through this unified initiative, area casinos have shown a true commitment to saving the lives of Oklahomans. During this month of potentially dangerous weather, it is essential to keep our local hospitals stocked with life-saving blood.”
Anyone who is healthy and 16-years-old or older can give blood. Blood can be donated every 56 days.
Platelets can be given as often as every seven days, up to 24 times a year.
