Newcastle Chamber of Commerce has several different activities scheduled in coming weeks. The first of those is an 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 18 ribbon cutting at Rapid Fire Services, 900 N.W. 32nd Street in Newcastle.
At 11 a.m. on May 22, a ribbon cutting will be at the Sea Law Firm, 10415 Greenbriar Place, Suite A in Oklahoma City. They’ll have refreshments and giveaways.
The annual Veterans Recognition Luncheon is at 11:45 a.m. May 23 at the Newcastle Library Community Room. Lunch is $20 and is being catered by B-Ray’s Barbecue. A portion of the proceeds from the lunch will benefit Veterans Corner. Those wanting to participate can RSVP at chamber@ newcastleok.org.
Sponsors include the Chickasaw Nation, Legacy Bank, ONG, Storage-R-Us, State Senator Jessica Garvin, Ziggy’s, Tinker Federal Credit Union, and Great Plains Kubota.
During the May 23 luncheon, the membership will vote on amendments to the operating by-laws for the Chamber. The updates can be viewed in advance on the chamber web site: https:// newcastleok.org.
The Chamber also mentions that a Lunch and Learn about technology with Pioneer Coop is from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 17 at the Newcastle Library Community Room.
There’s no charge for this event and it includes a light lunch.
