There were several Newcastle area spring graduates at the Univerity of Central Oklahoma.

Graduate students were: McKenzie Dane Medina who graduated with honors with an MS in Speech-Language Pathology; and Kindle Dawn Nelms, who graduated with an MS in Speech-Language Pathology.

Undergraduate students were: Harlee D. London, Cum Laude, BS in Speech-Language Pathology; Meredith Victoria Maker, BA in History; and Joseph Nash Tabor, Summa Cum Laude, BS in Kinesiology-Outdoor & Community Recreation.

USAO Graduates

The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma honored more than 165 graduates from the most recent fall, spring and summer terms during the 2023 commencement ceremony held April 29.

Among those students were Sydney Bean and Emily Maddox of Newcastle. Bean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education, while Maddox earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art.

For the 2022-23 academic year, Science & Arts awarded 116 Bachelor of Science degrees, 45 Bachelor of Arts degrees and 11 Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees during commencement, including six students received both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree.

Northwestern graduate Spring commencement exercises at Northwestern Oklahoma State University were recently held. Among graduates was one Newcastle student.

Austyn Pine was graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in health and sports science education.

Redlands Graduates

Redlands Community College celebrated its graduation of over 200 students Friday, May 12. Two Newcastle students were among those graduating.

Kaitlyn E. Bean earned an Associate in Science/Certificate of Mastery, and Laney J. Lawson earned an Associate in Science.

“We are proud of these graduates who have demonstrated the dedication and drive that will serve them well in the future,” said Redlands President Jack Bryant. “Redlands is a special college because of the students who have chosen to get their start on promising careers on our campus.”
