Newcastle’s Racer boys finished third overall scoring 79 points at the Conference Meet on Friday, while the Racer girls placed fifth. The boys 4x400 team broke the conference record by running a 3:27, and the boys 4x800 was one second away from breaking the conference record. 4x200 relay; Sirrus Bonner - 3rd place 4x200 relay; Coleman Pueppke - 1st place 4x400 relay, 3rd place 4x200 relay; Inigo Burguete - 1st place 4x800 relay, 1st place 4x400 relay, 3rd place 4x200 relay; Rhett Carter - 1st place 4x800 relay, 1st place 4x400 relay, 3rd place 400m dash; Zach Cragg - 1st place 4x400 relay; Collin Seely - 1st place 4x800 relay; and Rex Heskew - 1st place 4x800 relay. The teams prepare for Regionals on Saturday, May 6 at Putnam City High School. In order to qualify for State, teams must win first, second or third place at Regionals.
