Newcastle Fire Department was on hand to talk with students about driver awareness and safety issues.
Oklahoma Farm Bureau was at Newcastle High School for the Driver Safety Training event, giving tips and advice on keeping safe while driving around farm equipment.
The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office provided information to Newcastle students about rollover crashes. Their rollover machine showed what happens to a dummy without a seat belt.
Students walked along a yellow line with specially made goggles provided by the OHP to simulate a drunk driving test.
ENDUI had its sport utility vehicle and specially made goggles so students could drive a course simulating drunk driving. Cudd Energy Services brought oilfield equipment and spoke about semitrucks, blind spots and stopping ability.
