An election for area schools and cities took place April 4, but Newcastle only had incumbents seeking office so there was no election here.
At Bridge Creek Public Schools, Terry D. Vincent was elected over Sharita Hill for the Office No. 3 school board seat by a 3-1 vote. Micah L. Regier won over Robyn Esparza for Office No. 1 school board seat by a 3-2 vote.
For City Council Ward No. 1 in the City of Blanchard, Ben Whitt won over Joseph Jody Davis by a vote of 142 to 79.
In Town of Goldsby voting, Darrell Ingram won in the Ward No. 1 seat, beating Russ McReynolds, 448-263. Mike Herrin won the Ward No. 3 seat, also sought by Scott Station, by a vote of 436 to 278. And David White won over Vanessa Weaver for the Ward No. 5 seat by a vote of 464 to 246.
