The Newcastle Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying a person of interest in a burglary and assault case.
An NPD spokesman said that on March 28, a Newcastle resident returned to her home on N.E. 9th Street interrupting a burglary.
The burglar then assaulted the woman and stole her cell phone before fleeing. The victim described her attacker as a male wearing a green flannel- type shirt and who had an overwhelming smell of cigarettes.

Ms. Oklahoma Senior America Pageant April 15 in Mustang From 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 15 senior women will compete for the title of Ms. Oklahoma Senior America at the Mustang Performing Arts Center, 200 W. Juniper in Mustang.
