The Newcastle Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying a person of interest in a burglary and assault case.
An NPD spokesman said that on March 28, a Newcastle resident returned to her home on N.E. 9th Street interrupting a burglary.
The burglar then assaulted the woman and stole her cell phone before fleeing. The victim described her attacker as a male wearing a green flannel- type shirt and who had an overwhelming smell of cigarettes.

Ms. Oklahoma Senior America Pageant April 15 in Mustang From 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 15 senior women will compete for the title of Ms. Oklahoma Senior America at the Mustang Performing Arts Center, 200 W. Juniper in Mustang.
The Ms. Senior America Pageant touts itself as the world’s first and foremost pageant to emphasize and give honor to women who have reached the “Age of Elegance.”
The Ms. Senior America philosophy is based upon the belief that seniors are the foundation of America and our most valuable treasure.
