Wanda (Keen) Ussery, a resident of Newcastle for more than 50 years, is celebrating her 90th birthday.
Wanda moved to Newcastle with her husband Charley and five children in 1970.
They built their home here and immediately became involved in the community. Wanda was instrumental in starting the first PTA organization within the school system. She is a lifetime member of the Blanchard VFW Women’s Auxiliary, where she volunteered, held many offices, and participated in many ways over the years.
She has been a member of several Newcastle organizations including the Homemakers Extension Club, Quilters Club, Red Hatters, and Donut Dollies.
Wanda will be celebrating at her home with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and hometown friends.
