Planning is underway for the City of Newcastle Easter in thePark.Itwillbeheldstarting at 2 p.m. with an egg hunt on April 12 at Veterans Park.
Kyle Marks, Parks & Recreation Director, said, “Grab your baskets and hop on over for a day of Easter fun. Enjoy exciting egg hunts, games and activities for the whole family — plus a special visit from the Easter Bunny.”
The event is free for everyone who attends. Marks said bring the kids and friends, and come make egg-citing memories.
Marks said the City is looking for businesses and organizations to participate.
“Want to connect with the community in a fun and engaging way. Host a booth at our event,” Marks said. “Booths must include a kidfriendly game or activity, making this a great opportunity to promote your business or organization while bringing joy to local families.”
Marks said they are not accepting vendors selling items, as this is a completely free event for the community.
