Lynn Carlile

Lynn Carlile

Terri “Lynn” (Freeman) Carlile, 63, of Newcastle, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, in her home. The daughter of Gail Rolland Freeman and Glenna Ruth (Perkins) Stark, Lynn was born in Boise City, Oklahoma, on October 13, 1961.

Lynn met Edward Jay “Eddie” Carlile when she was only 17 years old, and they were married on a beautiful Friday, July 13, 1979. Together they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories. Lynn worked hard to earn her GED and that hard-working habit seemed to encompass her life. She worked for many years as an executive assistant at Seagate. Currently she was working for the Chickasaw Nation at the Newcastle Casino. She loved her job and co-workers and had an outstanding work ethic.

In her younger years, Lynn and Eddie were avid bowlers and both enjoyed riding dirt bikes together. Lynn was a social butterfly and made a friend wherever she would go. She had a deep love for costumes and Halloween, always bringing a touch of festive spirit and creativity to every celebration. Her affection for cats added to her charm.

She had a passion for baking whether it was cakes, cookies, puddings, or her famous chocolate desserts. She found joy in sharing her love through sweets. She was always a caring and generous friend to anyone who needed her.

Lynn was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed shopping with her mom, daughter and granddaughter, and taking vacations with the family. All these things aside, what she loved most was her only granddaughter, Jaycie Rae. Affectionately known as “Granby,” Lynn adored Jaycie Rae and devoted her entire life and continues to influence and encourage her. She had a new best friend and addition to her life recently — her beloved furry companion — Sadie Mae.

Lynn will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lynn’s legacy of love, laughter and genuine friendship will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory and love will continue to guide us every day.

Rest in peace, Mom. We will love you always — Hope you’re on the slots in the clouds and your payout in Heaven is an endless river of joy.

Lynn is preceded in death by: her parents; and husband, Eddie Carlile.

She is survived by: her one daughter, Misty Morvay and her husband, Jason, of Tuttle; one granddaughter, Jaycie Rae Morvay; two brothers, Tim Freeman and wife Ramona of Arizona, and Rex Freeman and wife Chrystal of Georgia; her beloved poodle and companion, Sadie Mae; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
