McClain-Grady EMS makes 54 sick calls in January

McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 242 calls for the month of January 2025.

Of those, 165 were billed and 77 were non-transport. Their average response time was 8.26 minutes, and they transported patients an average of 13.75 miles.

Types of calls were the following: Abdominal pain, 10; alcohol intoxication, 2; altered consciousness, 7; anxiety episode, 3; assault, 3; burns, 1; auto accident, 15; cardiac arrest, 5; chest pain, 16; equestrian accident, 1; fall, 23; fire standby, 1; GI bleed, 1; hemorrhage, 3; hyperglycemia, 2; hypertension, 6; hypoglycemia, 4; hypotension, 1; laceration, 4; lift assist, 19; overdose, 4; police standby, 1; psychiatric emergency, 2; seizure, 13; shortness of breath, 27; sick call, 54; stroke, 2; suicide attempt, 1; and syncope, 11.
