Michael Wayne Stanley, age 60 of Cowlington, Oklahoma, passed away on February 8, 2025, in Odessa, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
According to his wishes, Michael’s ashes will be spread over his property in Cowlington.
Michael was born on June 16, 1964, in Norman, Oklahoma. A lifelong Oklahoma resident, most of his career was as a commercial truck driver. Michael also had a very special talent of being a master leather craftsman. Some of his custom leather creations can still be seen on Facebook at Stanley’s Custom Leather.
Michael was a member of the Single Action Shooting Society and formed friendships with many of its members all across the country. He had a love for his horses and was, in every sense, a true cowboy.
He is survived by: his mother and stepfather, Glenda and Ron Graves; his daughters Candace and Kay Lynn Stanley; one grandson, Colton Wayne Stanley; his brothers Alan McDaniel and Chance Graves and wife Annika; his stepbrother Jason Graves and wife Amy; his special uncle Tommy Baker; his special aunts Sue Robertson and Joyce Barney; and his special cousin Cindy Stanley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss him dearly.
Special recognition to two of his very best friends: Donnie Sales and Mark Allen.
Michael will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
